Meow?

Dear Jimmy,

I live in a beautiful house this year with two lovely friends. We drink tea together, have adventures, we even meow to one another. The only thing that disappoints me about this house is that I’m not blonde. Cat is a redhead, and Jenna has long thick wavy brunette locks. If I had been blonde we could have been a joke “A blonde, brunette and a redhead.”

Anyway, I was walking one night and I see someone come towards me. All I could see was the outline of her long wavy hair. I thought it must have been Jenna!

Instead of saying “hey jenna!”

or “Hey lovely lady who I live with who I share tea with.”

I meowed.

Loudly.

It wasn’t Jenna.

I meowed loudly to a stranger.

She didn’t say anything. I didn’t explain why i meowed.

Have you ever meowed at someone Jimmy?

Meow, Rose.

"Rome wasn't built in a day"

Dear Jimmy,

I do not like the saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” I agree with the fact that indeed Rome wasn’t built in a day, but I don’t think it should be used as a point of motivation. It’s like saying, “oh that task that is all important to you and that you are repeatedly stressing about, well, don’t try and do it in one day, take your time, Rome was not built in a day.”

This saying would only have relevance if one was to build a city, say in the size of Ancient Rome. Not for a task placed in front of you.

It wasn’t really even a task or goal set by someone else, it was founded, it was expanded.

It didn’t have deadlines

Nor was it built by one person.

But you don’t hear that as a saying.

Rose.
